Greet Provoost
Director
Greet's career in international education spans more than 20 years. Prior to joining Ole Miss, Greet served as Assistant Dean for International Affairs at the Graduate School of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte; Assistant Director for International Student Services at State University of New York at Plattsburgh; Director of International Admissions and Student Services at Carroll University (Wisconsin), and held several road- and office-based positions with Up With People, the Denver-based international leadership, service and study program, including Director of Admissions Europe/Africa.
Greet earned her Master's degree in International Education from the University of Sydney in Australia and undergraduate degrees in International Politics from Carroll University in Wisconsin (where she attended as an F-1 international student), and in Pedagogy/English-Dutch Languages from KHBO in Belgium.
Greet's International Higher Education interests include those pertaining to international student-mobility and support services, developing sustainable partnerships, and facilitating competence in 'crossing cultures'.
Greet has traveled extensively - having visited more than 40 countries in 6 continents to date - and is inspired by multi-cultural contact and good dialogue. She always enjoys a good cultural/historical novel and South/South-East Asian cuisine. She is passionate about exploring the world - both near and far.
Jean Robinson
Assistant Director
Jean came to Oxford as an undergraduate student from New Orleans, LA. She is a graduate of The University of Mississippi and has worked in the Office of International Programs since 1991 in various positions.
Currently her work is mainly related to visa issues for students, faculty and staff. She prepares the
I-20 forms, manages the SEVIS database and works with J, H and permanent residency petitions.
In her spare time Jean likes to spend time with her husband and sons, bake, cook vegetarian food and tend the family's organic garden.
Kay Tyler
International Admissions Coordinator
Kay grew up in the small town of Conway, Arkansas. She is a graduate of Hendrix College where she received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education.
Kay has worked in the Office of International Programs for the past twenty-five years. Her job has been to learn about the many different educational systems of the world. Kay says that one of the most enjoyable parts of her position is meeting students who come to study at Ole Miss.
She hopes to have the opportunity to meet with a student from every country of the world.
A few of her hobbies are reading, baking bread, playing bridge, and being with her five grandchildren.
Tayla Burns
International Programs Advisor
Tayla Burns grew up in Rienzi, Mississippi. She earned a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing and then completed her Juris Doctorate from the University of Mississippi. She participated in study abroad programs in England and Africa.
It is her belief that all of the world's people have a great deal to learn from one another, and she appreciates any opportunity to facilitate the exchange of knowledge between diverse cultures.
In her free time, Tayla reads on a broad range of topics and genres. She enjoys the company of dogs and friends. Her other distractions include music, good food, and Ole Miss football.
Tayla joined the staff of International Programs in 2008 and specializes in advising faculty and scholars.
Tim Woodard
International Programs Advisor
Tim grew up in Oakland, Mississippi which is a small town nestled between the hills of north Mississippi and the Mississippi Delta. He considers himself to be a colorful character that is marked by the indelible and unique culture of northern Mississippi.
Tim attended The University of Mississippi where he received his Bachelor's of Science degree in Paralegal Studies with an emphasis in English. He plans to pursue a graduate degree in Intercultural Relations. Tim speaks English and Spanish and enjoys learning words from other languages. He has a great interest in making friends from all over the world.
His hobbies include cooking, fishing, traveling, and American football. Tim enjoys learning about the home countries and customs of the students that he meets each day. When he was asked, "Why do you want to be the International Programs Student Advisor?"
Tim replied, "It would be a dream come true to work in the International Programs Office and meet students from all over the world. When I meet them I will try my best to be a credit to the university, this city, this state, and my country!"
Donna Chappell
Administrative Coordinator
Donna joined the staff of International Programs in August of 2005. She is a graduate of The University of Mississippi where she received a B.B.A in Management Information Systems in August of 1991. After graduation, Donna began working at the University as a computer programmer.
She enjoys international cuisine including Vietnamese Lemongrass chicken and spring rolls, Chinese Dim Sum, and a variety of dishes from India.
Donna and her husband, William, live in Oxford and are the proud parents of two wonderful daughters, Heather and Brooke. The family pet is a large black dog named Elroy.
"I have had a wonderful time working at the Office of International Programs. The staff is very warm and welcoming and the international community is a joy," comments Donna.
JoElla Duhon
International Services Assistant
JoElla is a native of Louisiana. She is currently seeking a Bachelor of Paralegal Studies degree from The University of Mississippi. She received a Dental Assisting license in 1990 from Tennessee School of Technology and a Mississippi Dental Radiology permit in 1999 from Hinds Community College.
She has been a Notary Public since 2003.
Ms. Duhon began working with the Office of International Programs March 2002 as the International Services Assistant. She enjoys meeting and helping students at Ole Miss.

Her hobbies include decorating, cooking, gardening, boating, swimming and animals.
